ENTRY 4 - CHARITY OF THE MONTH - NOVEMBER 2022

The two charities that we supported this month are Restless Beings and Sufra Food Bank.
Restless Beings
is an international human rights organisation and registered UK charity that focuses on helping some of the the world’s most marginalised communities through advocacy and humanitarian relief work. They currently have projects throughout South and Central Asia and have most notably done some incredible with the Rohingya refugees.
Sufra Food Bank & Kitchen
is based in North West London. It is a community hub that provides a lifeline for people in crisis, including families living in extreme poverty and people who are vulnerable, homeless, and socially isolated. Due to the recent spike in cost of living, they are currently providing food aid to over 800 people a week in the borough of Brent.
DONATIONS
Our donation to Restless Beings went to support two different campaigns.
- Gaza Winter Support which
provides families with heating throughout the year.
- Sylhet Food Appeal which
provides emergency supplies to families suffering from the recent flooding in the Sylhet region of Bangladesh

Our donation to Sufra Food Bank went to the Surviving Winter Appeal 2022. This campaign is currently helping struggling families in Northwest London with food parcels and supplies that
will help them get through the winter. The good news is that our donation was doubled thanks to the Lady Fatemah Trust who have offered match up to 10 thousand pounds worth of donations.
